being chinese, I grow up in chinese home and eat chinese meals. then I get to america and hear the gwai lo's talking about chinese food being "ching chong chow mein" and "kwang paio chicken"... like, I've grew up eating chinese food and never have I eaten any "kwang paio chicken"
where'd you get all these sterotypes from

sterotypes sell, i hear a lot of the chinese take out food is nothing like the the food in china in that out here it is more unhealthy to please the americans- b/c at the end of the day you have to sell sell sell

Sure you have you just didnt call it that. In the USA we use cantonese and taiwanese pinyin. You want me to believe u have never ate Sichuan ji? or lai zi ji ding? Its the same thing just written with cantonese. How can you ask this coming from a country with over 300 chinese languages

You know i have freind who is chinese and she said, that chinese food in UK is so different to chinese food in china.

She doesnt like the chinese food in england at all.

Its same with indian food.

Indian food is so different in restaurant, than the one we cook at home, and in home country.

And also these indian curry such as "Vindaloo" there is no such thing as vindaloo curry in india and bangladesh.

They probl do it to appeal to us Americans.To be honest i go into these chinese restaraunts and am shocked to see bbq chicken wings?Maybe they aren't making the chinese dishes authentically.I don't know you could taste the difference though.Tastes alright to me !

Sorry to hear that. I had the same growing up. Like all we ate was burritos and rice. Don't take it personally. Not all people are that ignorant.
