I believe the labels say "don't eat grapefruit" while on this drug doesn't it? Check PDR on line, it gives some good info, or call any pharmacy and ask.

I'm not sure about crestor, but I take a generic zocor and nifedipine and the warnings say not to eat grapefruit products. My pharmacist said grapefruit will counter-act with the prescription and could have an adverse effect.

The two major PDA's I have say nothing about grapefruit. My guess is that you shouldn't eat grapefruit at or before when you take this med because the acids in them can cause the pill to breakdown or digest faster than it should, causing you to not get the right levels of the drug in your system, or it could even block the effects of the drug.
Best way to do it is to follow you label directions and not eat them at all. If you still have questions, call your pharmacy that gave you that med. They are the ones that put the label on the bottle so they should at least be able to tell you why, or maybe when it would be safe to eat grapefruit.

Grapefruit can interact with any medicine I would not mix the two.
