Because you are sick and run down and you haven't been eating properly, have you, tut tut ............ Now you have a vitamin B2 deficiency.

Do you also have sore mouth and tongue, cracked and splitting skin around your fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling eyes? If so, this is a Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) deficiency. This vitamin will be included in a multi B complex supplement (tablets). Go to the chemist and ask the pharmacist for advice on which brand is a good quality one for you to buy. Don't buy synthetic vitamins, they are too hard to digest. The synthetic ones are the cheap and nasty ones. Expect to pay around $20.00 AUD.

The recommended daily intake for adults for this vitamin is 1.2 - 1.7mg.

Foods rich in B2 are milk, liver, kigney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt and beans.

If you have a B2 deficiency then maybe you are also deficient in B12??

Symptoms for B12 deficiency are inability to concentrate, moodiness, irritability, dizziness, depression, chest pains, p alpitations, head and hand sweats, fatigue and exhaustion, headaches and migraines.

This vitamin will be included in the multi B complex supplement that you buy.

Foods rich in B12 are: yast, liver, eggs, milk, cheese and fish, kidney and pork.

Recommended daily intake for adults is 2mcg. For B12 to be properly assimilated through the stomach it is necessary to be combined with calcium during asorption to adequately benefit the body.

In the human diet B12 is supplied primarily by animal products since plant products usually don't contain it. If you are a vegetarian and have excluded eggs and dairy products from your diet, then you need B12 supplementation. If you keep regular "Happy Hours" and drink a lot, B12 is an important supplement for you. heavy protein consumers also need extra amounts of this vitamin. B12 and B2 work best synergistically with all the other B vitamins, hence my advice to get yourself a B complex vitamin supplement.

Only other thing you could do is fill up on loads of sugarless Vit. C., perhaps 5 - 6 tablets crushed and added to a glass of warm water every 2 - 3 hours?? Also, rosehips tea is a good way to get lots of healing, mending, essential Vitamin C into you real quick, really yummy too. Rose hips vitamin C contains bioflavonoids and other enzymes that help C assimilate. The are the richest natural source of vitamin C. (The C is actually manufactured under the bud of the rose - called a hip.) This will also help you to recuperate and heal quicker............ Loads of fluids and stay warm .................. :0)

If you choose to follow my learned advice you'll be very pleased you did as you will get release from your symptoms within a day or so. In actual fact, you should feel some degree of almost immediate improvement.

If your nose is blocked you tend to breathe through your mouth thus inhaling dryer air over the lips. When you breathe normally through the nose ,moist air is exhaled through the mouth and over the lips.
