now, I am coughing and my chest hurts. He has been sick for a month and just decided to go to the Dr. It is bronchitis....Now I am wondering if I should get checked.

You should get checked immediately. Infection can spread. Maybe early treatment will help.
Usuallt caused by virus. Sputum becomes infectious

Bronchitis is very common this time of year. It is allergy season. When all of that drainage goes down the throat, it can easily cause bronchitis. Smoking, or being around plenty of smoke can also cause Bronchitis. If it seems to be settling in your chest, you might want to have your doctor check you to see if it has developed into Pneumonia. There are also medications that the doctor can give you if the sinus drainage continues.

i think yes. bacterias go out with coughing, also if he was covering his mouth with his hand and then golding a door knob and then u touched it and didn't wash hands u can contract it easily. u need antibiotics if it is bronchitis. maybe u just caought a cold so u just need some coughing medicine and rest
