He said fasting wouldn't be neccessary..........I'm preggers..he said it wasn't called for with pregnant women.

that could of affected it but dought it because the test is testing how fast it takes your body to make insulin to break down the sugar, so i dought it they would only say your diabetic if your sugur level was way above normal and a normal person could produce insulin to break down the surgur from the candy and the suyrup they gave you. but you still shouldn't of had the candy lol.

You are supposed to do the test when you are fasting for at least 8 hours. So, you have messed up your test and you will have to take it again. Didn't the doctor tell you not to eat before the test

Yes. The syrup contains a precise amount of dextrose (a simple sugar) and having candy before hand can cause a false positive

Was this a fasting glucouse test? If so, eating the candy would certainly throw off your results.
You need to inform your doctor and will probably need to redo the test. Diabetes is nothing to play around with. You need to take it seriously or you could reap truly serious consequences.
