I don't understand vegetarians. They act like it's wrong to kill animals, but if we didn't then what the hell would we do with them .....just let them takeover? I've killed more animals then most people, and some I eat but some I don't. If a hog is rooting up my pasture, what else am I supposed to do, but shoot him? What's the big deal? Ya'll city people don't understand, because your too worried about "killing harmless animals".
So you don't eat meat... how is that gonna change anything for the better? If you don't like how animals are mistreated then open up a kinder and more gentle slaughter house, maybe you could give them all death by just putting them to sleep. how retarded is that?
Animals are here for our profit, it's not cruel, it's not wrong, it's just life how it's intended to be.

David your obviously rearded or something. I see wild animals all the time. And I raise cattle. Don't talk to me about something you don't understand. because I actually do eat wild game all the time. And by the way until you've seen pigs reproduce, and you realize how often they have babies, and that they can easily take over a place. Just shut the hell up, because there are plenty of counties around here that offer bounties for dead pigs. And I hope it breaks your heart that they rarely get eatin So they died for no reason.

“I don't understand vegetarians.”

- Yes, because opposing unnecessary death is such a challenge to grasp.

“They act like it's wrong to kill animals, but if we didn't then what the hell would we do with them .....just let them takeover?”

- Uh, not breeding them in the first place would be a good place to start.

“I've killed more animals then most people, and some I eat but some I don't”

- Bravo, you want a medal?

“If a hog is rooting up my pasture, what else am I supposed to do, but shoot him?”

- That like saying, “you were peein in my bushes, what else was I sposta do but shoot ya?.” The very idea is asinine. Don’t keep hogs and you wont have to worry about it.

“ What's the big deal?”

-Refer to above quote, if you don’t see the big deal I fear for society just a bit more than I did before I read this.

“Ya'll city people don't understand, because your too worried about "killing harmless animals". So you don't eat meat... how is that gonna change anything for the better?”

- Go back to high school (if you went) and pay attention in economics class about the concept of supply and demand. Its not a hard lesson, I promise.

“If you don't like how animals are mistreated then open up a kinder and more gentle slaughter house, maybe you could give them all death by just putting them to sleep. how retarded is that?”

- Well hot damn, I sure didn’t start this thinking I would ever agree with you but here we are. I also agree that a kinder, gentler slaughterhouse is a waste of time. I think we should not be using animals at all. Animals are sentient beings, and as such have the right not to be treated as property or used for human interests.

“Animals are here for our profit, it's not cruel, it's not wrong, it's just life how it's intended to be.”

- The response to this is book length so I will just say that not so long ago if you were to substitute the word animal for “colored people” many such as yourself would have agreed with that statement as well. Slavery is slavery no matter how nice it is, nor what sentient being is involved.

Why are you posting such a question on the vegetarian site in the first place? It sounds like you're trying to pick a fight, especially when you take someone to task for their reply in such an impolite manner.

Back in the day killing enough food to feed the family was necessary. It's not any longer, and some of us prefer a diet without meat since we can supply our basic nutritional needs without it.

In far too many cases there are instances of abuse in the business of raising animals destined for human consumption. In some cases laws could be strengthened to ensure that all living creatures have a reasonable standard of life, one that provides for the animals needs in a humane manner while allowing the business to make a profit.

No, animals are not here for our profit. But they can be used to generate a product.

i've got under no circumstances heard this type of ridiculous ingredient! do you comprehend what a Raksha is and do you comprehend something approximately Hindusim? No ingesting meat is large yet not Cow because of the fact the Cow is sacred to not in basic terms Hindus yet Sikhs to boot. additionally there is no such place as Hell. that is extra of a physique of recommendations or a punishment i.e. Karma in case you do undesirable issues on your existence. In different words, what is going around comes around yet on your next existence. additionally to the guy who thinks that worshipping idols is incorrect in Hinduism is likewise incorrect. Is each physique puzzling Hindusim with Islam? Hinduism has many idols / gods i.e. Ganesh, Lakshmi, Hannuman, Dhurga...Kali.

Okay, despite your UNCIVILNESS, CLOSED MINDEDNESS to answers I'll throw mine in the bunch. There are various reasons people go vegeterian.

Religious - for those who choose this route are being obedient to their beliefs. In the New Heaven and New Earth there will be no slaughtering of animals. Heaven a prepared place for prepared people.

Morals/Ethics - don't want the slaughtering of animals. There are alternatives to do instead of slaughtering animals to get protein, skins, leather.

Health Reasons - there are some people who have to give up eating meat for health reasons; high cholesterol, iodine in shellfish, trichonsis from pork products which cause arthirtis and other joint problems,

After all what you've shared and others PEOPLE HAVE MADE THEIR CHOICES AND DON'T WANT SOMEONE TO CHANGE THEIR MINDS. Yahoo!Answers is here to provide answers but you're closed minded and out to debate and SHOULD RESPECT what others have chosen.

You really need to do your RANTING on a blog page.

Hey, by the way ranting is a community guideline violation. Because you said all that and ALMOST DID NOT SUBMIT A QUESTION, but you did so here's your answer:
*******************************************************
Animals are here to clean up our filth and waste. Most animals are scavengers and clean up the earth of the dead animals.

I see you're raising stock ......... maybe that is why you are so defensive? Vegetarians will put out of business? Whatever your reasoning is ~ trust me vegetarians are not vegetarian because of your beliefs, they are in for their own beliefs. So if it not your cup of tea, let it be, don't knock it.

Just because you have been brain-washed for years, just as your ancestors were, does not mean one must continue to make the same mistakes over and over again ~ at what point do you break the cycle and say to yourself - "what I am dictated to do (eat meat) is not working -- let me have my own brain and change this".

Obviously you are one of those people that conform with what is told to you - never questioning or coming up with your reasoning. Do some investigating .

I am a vegetarian.

I can't eat the animals because I grew up on a small farm.
What i played wtih one day I was served the next.
I realized I just couldn't eat a dead animal.

I don't believe everyone needs to go vegetarian, BUT indeed I strongly believe that any animal intended for food needs to be held like a loved animal.
Cows or chickens cooped up in pens, fed their own ****, and then killed cruely is purely wrong.

I am not saying don't eat meat!
I am just saying only eat meat of HAPPY animals who lived a FULL JOYUS LIFE and died a painless death.

Isn't this something we can all agree on?

Plus I am sure the meat will be more tender and healthy this way anyway.

I won't argue with the circle of life.

But only take what you need and take it in peace.

Im sorry but, i need to warn you: putting a message like this on a vegy section is just about the dumbest thing you can do on here. Youa re going to get so much abuse...and too right!
nothing eats humans, and what do we do? nothing really except destroy the world!
look i cannot be asked to explain all of this to someone who must be so naive.
i live in the country, and i dont eat meat but i do eat fish...
animals wouldnt take over, but even if people insist on eating them, they could at least be kept ree range, and treated well...its so stupid.
how do you know thats how life was intended to be?
look, i dont care if you eat meat. its your opinion, but my beliefs lead me away from it. I would not say anything, but you do not have to put down someone elses view.
Pkus that wasnt even a question, you are just winding vegys up. Thats so immature. How old are you, 9?
But even 9 year olds arent that mean.

wow, all that adrenaline filled meat is making you angry! Try a nice baked potato and a salad, maybe you will chill a bit. There is no point in trying to reason with someone as closed minded as you, so I won't even bother. You KNOW you have all the answers, so why bother posting a question such as this? What difference does it make to you what I eat? You said it all at the beginning of your question-you DONT understand vegetarians, how right you are. We don't understand you either.

Maybe you could do a trade. For instance; you eat the relative of an animal then you feed one of your relatives to the family of the animal you ate. Assuming the animal ate meat as a natural part of it's diet, of course. Alternatively, you could offer a body part of one of your relatives in good faith as a trade. That would be fair, wouldn't it? We're all made of meat after all. MMMM..... gives me an idea why not eat yourself. But then you wouldn't be able to have dessert.

There's a song by Jane's Addiction called
"Pets". It depicts a scenario in which
extraterrestrials have come down and
enslaved people. They've converted us
into food, beast of burden and circus
performers. I think maybe you should
download this song and while you are
listening to it; try and imagine yourself
in the place of one your next murder
victims. If there is a concience in there
anywhere maybe this will unearth it.
Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.
