What is a good website to find good doctors? I had my second child march 1st I took her to her to the doctors a couple days before she turned two weeks old cause she was breathing weired, I told the doc that sometimes she seems like she is working so hard to get a breath and when she is doing that her throat, well the part that your collar bone at the throat that dips well that caves in allot, and if she isnt doing that she'll hold her breath and then gasp for air, or she will be breathing fast or sometimes she will be breathing normal, but I told her mostly she does it when she is sleeping, so she listened to her chest for not even a minute while my daughter was screaming and said basically her lungs are flopping when she breaths and to just make sure she dont turn blue, what do you guys think that is and what I should do switch doc, get a second opinion or take her back and tell her she is doing it more, if switch docs then do you know if there is a good website to find local docs

Go to any hospitals web page and check out the docs associated with that hospital. Most sites will list the docs credentials as well as the office stuff.

If at any time you have concern over your childs breathing, DO NOT hesitate to bring them into the nearest emergency room. Even if it turns out to be a false alarm, its alright. A kid in respirtory distress and crash real fast. Don't take any chances.

In addition to finding a new MD you should look for a doctor of pulmonology with a specialty in sleep medicine. Keep a log a her events and symptoms and take it with you when you see the doctors. Their is a strong chance that she has been having apneic episodes but only the doctor can determine the cause and it will be down to you and your log book to help find that out. Don't wait this is potentially life threatening in a young child. Good luck.

look up the website of your local hospital.

Most have a section, "find a doctor." Click on this, then pick th specialty you want.
It will show a list of all doctors who have privilidges at that hospital. by specialty.
Often these doctors have their own websites,. You can check these for more info.

Hey, if you don't feel comfortable with the doctor, find one that you do feel confortable with.

I you are unsure about finding a doctor this way, call the hospital and ask them to refer tou to one.
Good luck.
