Depends on the state. Some you have to be 18 to serve some you have to be 21. California you must be at least 18 to serve but most bars wont hire you unless your 21. Restaurants will hire 18 year olds.

Not in Maryland ,in the USA. In every place I know, you have to be of the legal drinking age, in order to serve alcohol

In Canada you can work and serve booze when you 18 but you can't drink it
