I'm not sure about it affecting the blood, but second hand smoke is not that safe. MY dad was a smoker (he quit),and I had more trouble breathing. Years ago, I wasn't feeling well and I was lying on the sofa. He was uptown, when he walked in, I started coughing, not a cough until smoke came in the house. So second hand smoke does harm to the non-smoker as well as the smoker. I'm on a lot of medication for seizures (yes, epilepsy) and these meds. prevent me from smoking & drinking.

ANYTHING that we breathe, eat or ingest in ANY kind of way affects our blood. For instance, check this out...if you live with someone that smokes, for instance, and say you're trying to get life insurance and they want a urine sample to make sure that you don't smoke or do drugs, NICOTENE will be in your urine, and if it's in your urine, then it is also in your blood. The air we breathe, and the food we eat all affect our blood. It's not drastic but it does affect it.
