I was a type 1 diabetic for 35 years. When I got as a child the only thing they had was sugar twin! YUK!! I actually had a pancreas transplant and I am able to eat anything now. As a type ll diabetic I know that there is Splenda. I'm not sure about the taste!! The key for good control is counting your carbs! Talk to your doctor(Endocrinologists)and diabetic nutritionist so they can help you set up a good plan and some good ideas. When I was diabetic I was able to eat regular sugar in MODERATION!! Keep a close eye on your blood sugars making sure they don't rise over 180, and you HBA1C is at the right level for your goal.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/MHtYq
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.

if you eat anything with real sugar go for a run or try to exercise for about 15 minutes either before or after. 15 minutes of exercise is like a shot of insulin for your body.

Equal and Splenda are pretty good though.

Just get over it. You dont need the sweet stuff anyway. Whats out there is what there is. Its either that or just plain sugar. Diabetes sucks doesnt it.

I really enjoy Splenda. But I'm not too picky.
