You should call the doctor's office. That is a good antibiotic for upper respiratory infections, but you may have one that is resistant to the Amoxicillin. They may have to give you a different antibiotic. Are they sure it is a sinus infection? If you have gross green mucus, then yes...it's infected.

Doesn't sound like it. I would try a different approach. Make a batch of saline solution (1/4 tspn salt to about a cup of water) and inhale that up your nose...not so far that you gag, but the saline will both disinfect and de-inflame the lining. Do this 3 times a day.
You should see if your doctor will prescribe you Nasacort or Flonase and try using that once daily for a week or so.
Do you have allergies? You would be better treated by an allergist if so.
Depending on the type of infection you could need a different antibiotic too but you can make everything much worse by abusing antibiotics. Eventually they won't work at all and maybe that is why this course isn't working.
Try the saline solution and it will help. The headaches are because your sinuses are kind of chronic now. They could be a side effect of the medication or other medications you might have been taking too. (ie other nasal sprays like Dristan, etc...really bad for you if overused.)

Doesn't sound like the medicine is working for you although you are getting a pretty high dose. You'll need to contact your doc again, he will likely give you another dose of antibiotics, this time if you don't see improvement within a couple days, I think I would call him back, and let him know that things aren't improving. To help ease some of the discomfort, try getting a washcloth wet and nuke it for 2-3 minutes. It will be very hot, let it cool so your skin doesn't burn, then lay the cloth across your eyes, cheeks, forehead, you will start feeling the infection breaking up and draining, continue as needed. Also, the old chicken soup method..........I know it sounds like something your granny would tell you, but the chicken broth really will help make you feel better, get a blanket and curl up on the couch with a cup o' soup, watch some t.v. and relax. Hope you feel better soon.

Call your Dr! I was on Amoxicillin for a sinus infection and didn't get better. He added steroids (Prednisone) and I actually just went back 4 days ago for a heavier antibiotic. There's an antibiotic-resistant bacteria going around causing sinus infections!

Boil yourself a quart of water, add 1/2 teaspoon of table salt, let it cool and snuff it up your nose several times a day. It's cheap and it works!
