yes, it's been safe for quite a few months now. Go make yourself a nice big spinach salad with walnuts, cranberries, and bleu cheese. YUMMY! That's what I'm having for lunch.

It has always been fine to eat cooked spinach, even raw spinach that you cooked was fine. It was the raw stuff. The all-clear is out now though. You can eat raw spinach again. Just watch out for the lettuce.

Yes I ate several raw spinach salads, im fine. You see, that case was only for that particular brand and only for that era. Of course by now all spinach is fine and certainly non dole (it was dole i think that had the e coli, or is that just my faulty memory speaking?) spinach. That scare was not for all spinach, only that particular one. Plus they didnt wash it, just ate the prepared salad. This is why I make my own salad from scratch.

It was always okay to eat Spinach if you thoroughly washed it before eating. Spinach can be contaminated by ground water, by workers peeing on the produce during the day, by animal feces, etc... You have to wash your produce!
