Can undiagnosed diabetes cause phsyical pain that can be thought for as something else.?

Has anyone prior to being diagnosed thought that they had something else. Also, if my daugther has an autoimmune diesease such as Rhematoid Arthritis and Diabetes runs in our family is she more succeptable. She is six years old and recently I have found she has been wetting her bed more often and she does use the bathroom prior to bed. She has also complained of stomach aches and has aweful breath all the time. And, please no rude remarks. She does brush her teeth every day!

Her breath does not smell like nail polish remover. It just retched in the morning but she always has pretty foul breath. She has regular dental exams and cleanings. Also she just had blood work for her arthritis would they have noticed anything else in her blood work?

The bedwetting could be a sign of juvenile or type 1 diabetes. High blood sugar will cause stomach aches and the acetone breath. Does it smell similar to nail polish remover?
