A cure for std's such as herpes will be found in the near future?

Or at least a vaccine to keep from getting it?

Absolutely! I think there is a cure for every virus out there. It's just a matter of time before we find it. Scientists are actually working on a vaccine right now for genital herpes.

Herpevac, a vaccine for HSV-2 (the herpes virus variant that causes genital herpes) is currently (as of February 2007) undergoing clinical testing in women in the United States and Canada. Previous studies have determined that this vaccine is approximately 70% effective in women, but does not prevent the disease in men.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about 5 years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know lots of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/E3kp5 everything improved.

Not only was I able to eliminate all remnants of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

Cure for Herpes Simplex is a distant dream. But antiviral medications are giving some relief to the patients.
Herpes simplex viruses (human herpesviruses 1 and 2) commonly cause recurrent infection affecting the skin, mouth, lips, eyes, and genitals. Common severe infections include encephalitis, meningitis, neonatal herpes, and, in immunocompromised patients, disseminated infection. Mucocutaneous infections cause clusters of small painful vesicles on an erythematous base. Diagnosis is clinical; laboratory confirmation by culture, PCR, direct immunofluorescence, or serology can be performed. Treatment is symptomatic; antiviral therapy with acyclovir, valacyclovir, or famciclovir is helpful for severe infections and, if begun early, in recurrent or primary infections.
Please see the web pages for more details and images on Herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections.
