Have I ever tried Turkish food? Almost everyday. I am a Turkish Cypriot. I like Mexican and Indian too but Turkish cuisine is so rich and full of delicious dishes. For example last sunday we had "yalanci dolma" (stuffed vine leaves). Yesterday we had "Hunkar begendi" (aubergine paste with cubed meat(chicken) on top of it, cooked in olive oil and tomatoes). Today at lunch we had peas and artichoke hearts. I love all the meat dishes and vegetable dishes, especially aubergines. e.g. imambayildi, karniyarik, patlican musakka, hunkar begendi, aubergine salad......

I have had tabbouleh, Jordanian hummus, pitas, falafel-which the worst stuff on earth since it resembles a pile of **** on rice, couscous, certain salads from Lebanon, Morroccan-style curries, pitas, a lot of Greek food, etc.
Where I live you can get a dish of saganaki, hummus and pita, bruschetta, etc. I know a lot about German, Greek and Italian food, a little Russian, a lot of French and Asian. No Mexican or Middle Eastern restaurants to be found. I don't mind Indian once in a while.

During my 2 week vacation in Turkey, I had Turkish food every day. I was in love with it. Unfortunately there are very very few Turkish restaurants in Japan where I live now.
