where will the injection take place when they insert the liquid for the lung vq scan?

Yes, you will be injected with a tracer (dye). It will be administered via an IV in your arm. You will also have to inhale some of the tracer.

The inhaled tracer shows the flow of air into the lungs. The injected tracer is used for taking lung photos and doing lung measurements.

it will be through an iv, and then they will let you breathe radioactive particles for the scan.
