i got chest pain, shortness of breath, sharp pain in my shoulder, stomach, back, fast heart beat. i know that they are all symthoms of heart attack. but the thing is they are not very serious. i mean... i'm not like grasping my heart and yelling for the pain like in the movie... but all the symthoms are there. i'm really worried about it and i wanted to go to emergency room. so my questions is, if i go to emergency room, although i'm not in as much pain as people in the movie, will they take care of me or they will ask me to leave and seek a doctor.

They will see you. You won't be turned away. I once went and was having a panic attack, which felt like what you are sort of describing. I also went when I had a terrible cold or flu and was treated. I went when I was in pain and vomiting with a bladder infection---they checked to make sure it was not kidney stones. So no matter what the problem, they will assess you.

Yes they will take you. They will check your pulse immediately and may do an ECG very quickly. Depending on what they find they may or may not admit you.
DO NOT DRIVE yourself to the emergency dept. Either call an ambulance or call a friend, a family member, a neighbor; but preferably the ambulance. If you get in the car and add more stress you may have a very big heart attack in the vehicle leading to your own death and someone else's. Go Now.

If you live in the states and can pay great, they should keep you in and run some tests and check your condition out. After that they will inform you of the results and advise you of further medical procedures if necessary. And if you live in Canada and can't pay no problem because all of the above is free anyway. I wouldn't fool around with this, I would seek medical attention right away. Take an asprin that might just save your life. Good Luck

They will see you and do an EKG to see what your heart is doing, based on that, they will either hospitalize you if it's a true heart attack, maybe give medications, and/or ask you to follow up with your doctor. doesn't matter how serious or painful you think it is, they will check you out, and even if you don't think it's serious, it can be a heart attack or warning, different people feel differently during an attack, go get checked out.

I am sure no ER would refuse to help a person seeking medical attention, it would b unethical. But maybe u should see a doctor first, as it would be more convenient, and if there was a serious problem, the doctor would call an ambulance for you!

Of course they will take you! You could be having a mild heart attack or a stroke. you don't know. Go to the hospital! The people in the movies are getting paid millions of dollars to act out scenes.....of course they have to be way over the top and dramatic.

anything dangerous ideas you will be having, simply bear in mind you're valued at it!!! its valued at a shot to take a look at going to the emergency room. via regulation they can not simply permit you to depart with out taking a few style of motion. you're going to get the aid you wish to have whether or not they be given you into that constructing or no longer

They will see you. Depending on who else is in the hospital waiting room, you may have to wait longer than others if others are showing signs of a life and death emergency.

Some ERs CAN turn you away.
I work for a charity hospital. We can't turn anyone away.
If you're having all these problems, why the hell are you on yahoo?
