Did your doctor do a chest xray? and ECG? provide you with a holter monitor?, listen with a stethescope? schedule any tests? have you run on the spot and check your pulse before and after?
If he did not do any of these things then you need a new doctor. Get one right away and find out what is wrong.

I would write down when you get chest pain, are you short of breath, dizzy. Does it hurt to breath in? Do you have any other joint pain or fatigue? It it tender to the touch, a dull pain, stabbing pain, etc. Then go back to the doctor and get some answers.

sometimes if your potassium is low it can cause cramping in ur heart. it could also be anxiety. have a check up done, get ur potassium levels checked and go to a cardiologist and have an ekg and echo done. it never hurts to be extra cautious.

Did he tell you what it was that you did not have to worry about? I would go to another Doctor, he is not giving you enough information.
