Where do you insulin dependent diabetics take your shots? Which area of the body do you prefer? I use my thighs or stomach. I don't use my stomach much anymore because of scar tissue build-up resulting in slow absorption.

How many shots a day to you take? I take 4-6.

Do you take your shots in public or go hide somewhere? I personally don't care who sees me take mine. I don't run off to a bathroom or anything.

Do you use syringes, pens or pumps? I use the insulin pen (Lantus and Humalog).

Just a brief survey. :)

Have a nice day!

-I take my shots in my arms, my stomach and my thighs. I rotate every time I take a shot so the area does not get sore.

-I take 2 shots per day, before breakfast and before dinner.

-If I am taking my shots in my arm or stomach I will do them anywhere. If it needs to be in my leg, I will go someplace private.

-I use an insulin pen and I love it.

I used to take shots 5-8x/day. I injected in my arms, right thigh, abdomen, and sides. I injected in public (mostly at school). I test in public too. I currently use a pump and love it. I have used both pens and syringes too, though.

When I took shots, I injected in my leg at home and in the stomach in public. Stomach was more painful for me and gets lumpier sooner.

I'm on the pump now. Always put it in my thigh.
