I had my first Thorntons diabetic egg last year. I eat rather too much of it and, unlike real chocolate, which I try and avoid I found it rather nauseating. To be fair their diabetic toffee is delicious!

I had only come across Thorntons personally but google found
Heilemann diabetic Chocolate in the shape of eggs with 5 different fillings. http://www.sweetstall.com/acatalog/Easter_Gifts_of_Sweets__lollipops_and_chocolates.html

Thorntons do quite a big diabetic range of eggs and other chocolates. Fewer places are making diabetic chocolate as it is easier to make insulin adjustments.

Most diabetic food products are sweetened with sorbitol, aspartame or other artificial sweeteners. All of which are very effective laxatives! There has also been studies suggesting that aspartame may be a carcinogenic but i must admit i don't know who did the studies or their accuracy.

My local health authority offers diabetics the chance to go on acourse called DAFNE (Dose adjustment for normal eating). My blood sugar control has improved immensely, it is worth looking into.

I would imagine that Thornton's would make eggs for diabetics, they have a range of chocolate bars for diabetics so why not go in and ask them?

Depends on where in London you are, but Thorntons have quite a good selection of diabetic chocolate.
Good luck, hope you get what your looking for. xx

They may have some in Holland and Barrett. Otherwise try this website www.avidlite.co.uk. They do all sorts of diabetic food including chocolate.

Cannot reccomend enough, l'artisan du chocolat. Am pretty sure that they will have a diabetic section but they are pricey - worth every penny!
