How long has it been? What is your diet like? A whole foods, plant based diet with plenty of fiber (ONLY FOUND IN WHOLE FOODS )is the only long term answer. Salads. Fruits & veggies. Beans & brown rice. lots of water & excersize. That sort of thing.
If, however it has been more than a week, you may have some serious toxicity going on. If that is the case get medical help to solve the blockage and THEN follow my previous advice to reduce any further discomfort.

Take some castor oil. About a tablespoon/hr. will loosen you up. Or, try a Fleet's enema. Also, at the drugstore, they have an oral enema that will clear you out. Stay home, clean the toilet before you start, because you'll experience several grueling hours of dumping. I had a prescription for this, don't know the name, don't know if a prescription is needed, check with your pharmacist.
