There is such a thing as "false negatives."

Herpes is one of those viruses that can be present in the body but not show any symptoms. So the answer to your question is 'yes'. Any of your partners could have had herpes but not known it themselves because they didn't have any physical symptoms such as sores. I suggest you go and have a chat with a doctor and request testing for all STDs, including HIV and Hepatitis. (you could also go to a free clinic if there is one in your area). And not to sound preachy, but if you are having sex with multiple partners, get them to use condoms. (even if they tell you they are clean, you just never know.) Hope this helps!

Well how do you know they were all clean ? It is possible to spread herpes even when they are no signs or symptoms, in fact over 75% of people who contract herpes got it from their partner who had no signs or symptoms. And you CAN get genital herpes from your partner even if he/she doesnt have it on her genitals, because if your partner has it on their mouth (cold sore) and you receive oral sex from them.....YOU'VE GOT IT ! And herpes isnt always directly on the genitals, it can appear as a pimple like sore or blister on the inside of the thigh, near the buttocks and in women it can be found toward the inside of the opening of the vagina making it hard to see.......

How are you so sure all your partners have been clean people lie. There are multiple types of herpes as well. Herpes on your mouth can transfer to your genitals if your not careful.

unless you got it from your mom during birth.. no. so one of your partners is lying to you.
it is possible to spread herpes without having an actual outbreak. chances are one of your partners didn't even know he had it.... also it is hard to detect herpes through a test without an actual outbreak either.
herpes is a mysterious thing... but if you have it... don't fret. chances are some of your friends do too.

When you say "all your partners" you are walking on a very dangerous and slippery slope my friend.
