I've been looking into this alot lately. I'm in the process of quitting smoking b/c i'm almost 30 and want to do it beore it's too late. Smoking is a HUGE risk for heart disease, so hopefully you don't.

I've read eating 3 grams of soluble fiber a day will lower your risk of heart disease by half. That's pretty good I think. If you buy oatmeal and you get the packets, there's 1 gram of fiber in each packet, to give you an idea about how much to eat.

I started eating 2 packets for breakfast every day. Fiber, eating foods with good cholesterol, not bad is very good for you. And excersise is major too.

Very important question. Many doctors don’t know this or don’t care to follow or to instruct their patients.

Our body needs a way of life similar or identical to that followed by the evolutionary men during millions of years. This is called the Palaeolithic way of living. It is based in 2 things, foods and movement.

Let´s talk about movement. The body evolved during millions of years being a nomad, moving constantly, chasing animals. So, our bodies are designed for continuous movement. When we sit at a desk day after day we are doing a tremendous damage to that body. We need to exercise everyday. Otherwise our bodies go crazy, specially our minds.

Food. Our bodies ate raw food, mainly protein and a few vegetables and fruits. Humanity did not know how to cultivate. Agriculture only appeared late in civilization, when our evolution was closed to what is today. We should try to emulate that, try to eat as raw as possible, not only meats but vegetables and fruits. A good idea is to try to educate yourself in how to do this, learning to cook.
