It is always recommended that when cooking with Tabasco sauce, you should use NON-corrosive cookware.

For that matter, salt is also corrosive. So are tomatoes & OJ.

Yes it would be corrosive. Just like the others said it is acidic and anything acidic can be and usually is corrosive. Corrosive stuff is edible... Coca Cola is highly acidic and corrosive and people still drink it. Example: Coke is wonderful to get stuck on bugs off your windshield but be careful you don't get it on your paint or it will eat it right off... Someone should ask a question about the different/unusual ways they used Coke...

Anythign with acid is potentially corrosive. tabasco sauce has vinegar and hot peppers- both are acidic.

I am going to say how coke is corrosive. I use the unused coke that stays unwanted at the bottom of large glasses to clean toilets. It is the best cleaner.

Yep, it is an acid so it is corrosive. Probably would be pretty hard on aluminium. Whomever thinks that corrosive means inedible needs to contribute fewer answers.
