take precautions while your drinking the night before and make sure to drink plenty of water while your drinking alcohol. always make sure to eat a little something before you pass out. if you dont do this, you can always eat some menudo (go to a mexican resturant) for really, really, bad hangovers the next morning. water is always the answer, but not always the best. sometimes you get that in the morning pukefest after you just drank a great big glass of water, im not too fond of that. so i just started drinking vodka/water and beer to get to where i wanna get to and eating a bit of something before i pass out, buy a good filtered vodka reduces the hangover effect.

I'm sorry. There's really no fast cure. Reading an article today. Hair of the dog but that might get you back to square one. If you're young and don't have to work today (lol) try just a little bit. Been there. Best wishes.
Edit: These people are right. Hydrate like the astronauts. Mild pain reliever.

Eat a big meal and a lot of water because if you had a bad hangover, that means you probably drank beer on an empty stomach, and that can screw you up faster.

Lots of cold water, Motrin....and an ice cold Coke..straight from the can or bottle.
Xanax works too!
But if you can't get that, here's a solution that works in Texas...As unappetizing as this may sound, Mexican food does wonders for a hangover.
Any Mexican soup is good. Also greasy, cheesy enchilades and homemade flour tortillas are also good...they like absorb post alcohol binder acids in the stomanch.
Works for me.

Have a drink for an immediate cure, but if you have time the previous answer IS the best solution. Lots and LOTS of water.

A Big Mac or Kraft Mac n cheese (unfortunately on both accounts)...I've always found that if you mix all of the bar juices (cran, pineapple, orange, grapefruit) in a martini shaker with ice, pour into a chilled pint glass and top off with a slpash of club soda...suck it down quick and take two aspirin, you're good to go....

Lots of water, taken over time. Hangovers are actually acute dehydration from having all that alcohol.

I heard coffee would be good for a hangover, that's if you don't mind drinking a few cups before going to work.

Hate to be repetitive but they're right, the best solution is water and lots of it.
However, if you're a big coffee drinker, a lot of times when people are hung over they over sleep, depriving themselves of the 8am caffeine fix they normally get. Caffeine addicts (like myself) get headaches and other "hang over" like symptoms when they haven't had their fix. so a big cup of coffee might help alleiviate SOME of the pain.
