Why do non vegetarians/vegans hang out in this section? Do they get off on harassing vegetarians? Is it fair to call all the non-veg people posting hate in this category bigots?

I think they get their jollies by trying to make us feel bad. I ignore the creeps. I think its a guilt issue-they try to make themselves feel better by justifying ridiculous things like our "incisor teeth" (last I checked, all but two of mine were flat, like other vegetarian animals) or out "killing veggies" (I learned in first grade that veggies and fruit don't have a central nervous system, eyes, or a beating heart) or our "need" for meat. We all know that we get everything we need from a plant based diet. Yes, they are not only bigots, but uninformed idiots. If they took the time to research the issues like we have, they would realize how lame and ridiculous their answers are. I think they are just jeolous, don't you? I love being a veggie, and so does my little girl

I don't 'hang out' in any 'section' of Y!A ... I simply go down the 'list of all questions asked' and answer the ones I feel that I have answers to. Like your question. I am an 'omnivore' (I do eat 'meat' and 'fish') but I don't 'hang out here' and I would NEVER 'harass' or 'hate' any person because of what they 'eat' any more than because of the color of their skin. That may be my 'thing' ... but there are other people who 'really get off on harassing anyone who is 'different' from then ... and that is a 'really sad thing' as far as I'm concerned.

They just want attention and me personally doesn't pay them any attention. I'm on here to share the community with issues and answers(also questions) about vegetarians and vegans. Flesh-eaters(as I call them) shouldn't be in this section of Food and Drink, they just want to embarrass use big time and it is not fair. Also maybe they want to know about vegetarians to become one or consider on being one. It actually depend on their points of views and how they communicate in questions and answers.

Oh let them they ahve nothign better to do, they get off on confrontation. Why is veganism so hard to accept or even vegetarianism. I still dont understand how some people are so backwards even today.

I don't know about all of them but I now that one fish eater likes to come here and lye about being a vegetarian. I think that's pretty lame! They even say that theirs no need to eat meat but then say doctors tell them to eat fish.HAHAHA
At least the meat eaters that come here to abuse us are honest!

I think they think vegys are tree-hugging animal activists, who will threaten people who eat meat. Sure some, are like that...but not all of us!
I guess they thrive on the idea of belittling other peoples lifestyles, it is obviously appealing to them. They need to understand the facts behind it, and realise that it is our choice. Nothing they say will persuade us other wise-it just makes us more determined to be vegy!!!
