Cubans have more tropical fruits such as plaintains and mangos and also a lot of fish and seafood.
If you're staying at a resort in Cuba you will see some of this but also a lot of "Canadian" style food like chicken, beef, french fries etc.

big difference.
Cuban food is cooked from scratch, a lot of fresh spices, Cubans devour root vegetables in every meal, such as boniato, malanga and yuca. There are a lot of the same thing everyday like stocky meats, chicken, or fish dishes accompanied by white rice, black beans, and sweet fried plantains.
Like USA, many Canadina food is not from scratch. Cans, boxes, bags. There is a great influence of chinese, indian and other cultures in the food. Quebec has more traditional food than the rest of Canada. Burgers, poutine, pasta, and other food that you see in other countries.
