Montreal Steak Seasoning--it is fresh cracked pepper and coarse salt and mabe a few other things. This spice brings out the flavor of the steak instead of covering it up which is what happens when you start marinating or doing other weird things to your steak.
Another tip: ight when you take your steak off the grill put a tiny pat of butter on it and let it melt--extra yummy!

I know this sounds redundant, but it depends on how you like your steak.
I like to marinate it in a good beer, which acts as a meat tenderizer, for a few hours, add whatever seasonings you think may be good. Seasoning salt works with black pep and salt. Emeril's Essence is really awesome.
You could marinated it in Italian dressing.
BBQ or any other sauce you want to add to it should be put on it about 1 minute before you take it off the grill so that the sauce caramelizes to the meat. If you put it on right away it will burn and ruin the taste of the meat.
Hope this helps.

its as simple as this......SALT AND PEPPER. Just remember to season according to the size of the steak that your cooking, the season has to penetrate through a 2 inch steak so a half of teaspoon of salt is going to do nothing.

Emeril Essence or McCormik steak rub..you can buy both at publix....if you dont have time to buy things..then just plain pepper will season a steak real well and wont taste like pepper either once grilled or cooked

Italian dressing or kosher salt and freshly ground pepper. But my all time favorite is a little salt, brown sugar, pepper, garlic powder and a sprinkle of whisky or sherry. Let it marinate 20 minutes.
