Just remember that you will eventually get over it. Try not to do anything rash - because when you are finally over the sadness - any rash actions will haunt you.
Focus on yourself, you should love yourself. Try running or reading an epic novel like Gone With the Wind. Spend time with friends that do not want to constantly talk about it with you. Of course you should talk about it for a while to get all of your feelings sorted but after that happens move on. The more you talk about it, the longer the pain takes to go away.
Remember the adage that 'This too shall pass' and look forward to a future where you are stronger for having gone through something like this. Your heart will heal, trust me. I
am certain of this because you are already seeking to move forward just by posting this question. Eventually the tears will be replaced by laughter when you find someone or something new that makes your heart grow with love. Time will eventually be the healer. You just need to find a way to pass it better. Good luck to you. A lot of us have been there and it does go away. Trust me - I have been there and gotten over it. I am now at a point in my life where I have never been happier.

Wow, the toughest thing to do is to mend a broken heart. I know full well what you are feeling. I've been there more than once unfortunately. Sorry for your pain. You need to get yourself involved with something that will make you feel better about yourself. Maybe volunteering at the animal shelter, hospital, food bank or rescue ministry. All those mentioned need you and need the love you can share with them. It's a safe place to put your heart as all of them need you and won't reject you. The last thing you need is to jump into another relationship. Maybe that's what you want but it's not what's best. Consider going to talk to someone... a pastor or counselor of some kind. Many churches offer counseling at a reduced rate or even free. Take advantage of that.
I wish you the best for this time... I know it's hard.

Get your mind off the reason your heart is broken. Take up a hobby get more involved in work or a cause like at a food bank or a cancer cause. You can take the male way out and find another man or several men to spoil you but be careful doing that. Good Luck

I hope you feel better, but only time can cure a broken heart.(mine is broken at the moment too) and a broken heart does feel like a diesease even though its a sadness.
Just try to be busy all the time, do things to distract you.

One: why did you post this in heart diseases? It's not a disease. It's a sadness, but not a disease.
Two: listen to angry music and gradually get to sad music and scream as loud as you can while hugging yourself to sleep.
Three: sleep.
Four: Wake up, repeat the process, sleep again.
Five: stop moping, realize the world didn't come to an end, go to work/school, then go back home and sleep.
Six: Add chocolate ice cream if needed.
