I am looking for medical or scholarly artciles about hte proper way to take blood pressure.?

I have read that the Lancet Medical Journal and the American Heart association now suggest that the proper way to take blood pressure is to mesure a patients pressure 2-3 times and then take the average of the measurements. I am looking for medical or scholarly articles that back this up.
