It all depends on what type of city you live in, and what time you want to be open.
If you want to be open late at night, then you choose a location near the local pub/clubs, if there is a particularly popular night spot then somewhere near there is the pick,(people wanting to grab something to eat before, during or after a night on the drink can create a great market)
Where as if you want to be open during the day then you will want to be somewhere where their is a lot of foot traffic, particularly during or around meal times, but you will also want to be some where unique and away from most of the other restaurants and cafes, so that you can have your market without having to try real hard to compete with other food places.
Cheers and hope this helps.

I would try a mobile hot dog stand. One you could easily move to different events around where you live and could easily keep up to health code. This would diversify your business, to avoid a financial rut.

In the parking lot of a gay club or research popular homosexual activities in your area. You should park your cart in your places you feel most comfortable.
