I think being a vegetarian can be harmful whether or not your nervous system isn't fully developed. Some vegetarians have told me that you can get protein in some vegetables, but I don't think it's enough. I don't hate vegetarians - I respect them. More than that, I admire them. They can smell steak cooking and still just want to eat vegetables. To each their own. I just don't like it when vegetarians try to push their eating lifestyles at me or think everyone should be a vegetarian.

Being vegetarian is much more healthy for you than eating meat is. Your diet may be lacking in protein but this should not affect your nervous system. If you are worried about it you should take a protein supplement. Your parents are wrong for forcing you to eat meat. It is disgusting and unhealthy. Being a vegetarian almost always has only positive effects on one's health.

vegetarian can not be harmful.. you just have to eat beans, yellow peas.. chick peas to get protein..
My in-laws is vegetarian all they life... and they are pretty healthy.. they eat bread because they India but still you need protein and other stuff like milk and fruits.. Just think of India woman have to fast once in while and they have to only eat fruits until night time...
You should search for vegetarian recipe that has a lot of protein... why would your parent decide you can not be vegetarian... I know few friend who is vegetarian.. and i am half but i eat fish.. and chicken.. but you need protein.. just research on line for recipe..

Vegetarians dont get enough things such as protine and iron. You find these things in meat. without protine and iron, your bones will be reletivly weak. Since your not a real vegetarian who would rather die than eat meat i guess it would be ok to listen to your parents and eat some meat. If your indian theres a whole different story behind that.

i am a vegetarian. i eat healthy, i looked this website up for you to read here . show your folks so they understand too . do some investigating. being a "Lacto-ovo vegetarian" is a very healthy way to live.... for me. its not a good idea to take casual advice from those who don't understand unless they are actually living it. do yourself a favor, research this with your parents !
