Sort of. If you're a type 2 diabetic and willing to adhere to a strict diet and exercise program, keeping your weight and blood sugar down, you could possibly go the rest of your life without medication... that's why I say "sort of". If you're not so strict, but still adhere to a reasonably good diet and exercise program, you might be able to do okay with a little Metformin once or twice a day. If you aren't so good at diet and exercise, then no, it's not curable.

There is no cure for type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes can go into remission after weight loss , gastric bypass or banding.
Type 2 diabetes is a complex metabolic disorder linked to obesity, it develops over time, with the body becoming progressively less able to control blood sugar levels. Some patients, who have had ‘gastric banding’, show a reversal of diabetes. Other patients have shown a dramatic improvement of glucose tolerance.

No. Unfortunately there is no cure for diabetes, but there are ways to control your diabetes so you don't have any of the medical problems that are normally associated with it; like blindness and having to have your limbs amputated. Medical science has come a LONG way since the early days of diabetes. A lot of people nowadays can just control their diabetes with diet and/or medication.

Unfortunately there is no cure. For some over weight people (with type II) diabetes, you can keep it under control without medication/insulin if you loose weight and follow a diet appropriate for individuals with diabetes. I'm no doctor, but being diabetic myself, this is what my doctor told me.

No, but sometimes it can be controlled through diet low in carbs and exercise.
There are many types of diabetes too. That's a hard question to answer without more facts.

There is a lot of stuff on the internet that is basically fat-shaming diabetics for causing their own diabetes with their bad diet and lack of exercise and general lack of moral fibre. A lot of this stuff is written by non-doctors, often with a supplement or diet or training plan to sell that they claim will completely cure diabetes if only people stick to it.
I read this interesting book https://tr.im/iferp that gave me a lot of useful tips about my disease and also a different perspective on the best therapeutical approach. I think you should read it too.
