There are many symptoms of pneumonia, and some of them, like a cough or a sore throat, are associated with many other common infections. Often, people get pneumonia after they've had an upper respiratory tract infection like a cold.

Symptoms of pneumonia can include:

fever
chills
cough
unusually rapid breathing
wheezing
difficulty breathing
chest or abdominal pain
loss of appetite
exhaustion
vomiting

The symptoms of pneumonia vary from person to person, and few people get all of them.

If you have pneumonia you are likely going to feel very sick and it can come on pretty fast. Pneumonia can come on following a viral respiratory infection such as influenza, this is because your immune system is temporarily weakened. so if you're recovering from a cold or the flu its definitely something to watch out for.
Symptoms come on quickly and include:
High fever
Chills
Cough that produces a yellowish, greenish, rust colored, or red mucus
Shortness of Breath
Chest Pain(becomes worse when breathing or coughing)
Loss of Appetite
Fatigue
Headaches and Aching Joints
Coughing up Blood

You don't have to have every single symptom I listed to have pneumonia different people have different symptoms but these are some of the more common ones. Mostly be on the lookout for a fever, productive cough, and chest pain. It sounds like you have a few of these symptoms so I would definitely see a doctor. Your doctor can order a chest x-ray to see if your lungs are clear. If you have pneumonia it may be treatable with anti-biotics.

Bacterial Pneumonia usually starts as a cold. The first sign is a sudden high fever 102f or higher, followed by chills difficult and/or painful breathing,a cough that produces yellow and/or bloody sputum, abdominal pain, pale lips(could be blue)fast breathing, fatigue, vomiting,
and body aches. With out treatment, the infection could spread and be fatal, some people die because the brush this off as a bad cold which is really sad because it can be treated so easily. If you have diabetes, heart failure or an immune deficiency such as HIVand AIDSyou will need around the clock hospital monitoring. If you have even a few of the symptoms please see a Dr.
Good Luck!

Symptoms of pneumonia caused by bacteria usually come on quickly. They may include:

Cough. You will likely cough up mucus (sputum) from your lungs. Mucus may be rusty or green or tinged with blood.
Fever.
Fast breathing and feeling short of breath.
Shaking and "teeth-chattering" chills. You may have this only one time or many times.
Chest pain that often feels worse when you cough or breathe in.
Fast heartbeat.
Feeling very tired or feeling very weak.
When you have mild symptoms, your doctor may call this "walking pneumonia."

Older adults may have different, fewer, or milder symptoms. They may not have a fever. Or they may have a cough but not bring up mucus. The main sign of pneumonia in older adults may be a change in how well they think. Confusion or delirium is common. Or, if they already have a lung disease, that disease may get worse.

Symptoms caused by viruses are the same as those caused by bacteria. But they may come on slowly and often are not as obvious or as bad.

If you have pneumonia, you will be running a high fever, you can or cannot have a productive cough, which sputum would be gray in color, if you have bronchitis, you cough a lot, and cant seem to quit coughing, the sputum would be green in color. You could be having allergy symptoms, also. Hope this helps..
