Depends on the procedure, and how extensive it was. Any where from one week to two months in the hospital, and a period at home to be determined by your doctor.

48 hours in most deadly, medical induced coma, for another 36-48 hours, next 36-48 hours will be speach listening to nurse or family, talks of seeing family members that have passed on, light feeding apple sauce and jello, then after the medications are lighten up, it depends on the patient and well being. Do not forget this might even take a family member to make the patient angry, for this it will cause extra strenght in the patient. All the while the patient is hooked to feeding tubes, blood preshure ect.the patient will know you are there. so talk to them, so I would thank of the recovery and illness induced coma ect. it will more then likely takely take up to 2-4 weeks.
