If this is not a regular thing for your dog, I would give him some chicken broth. It sounds like he may be dehydrated. But if your dog starts to vomit, or doesn't get better in 24 hrs., I would take him to the vet. Hope this helps!!

There are 2 things that this can be caused by. Ur dog either caught a frog and had it in its mouth or is dehydrated. For the 1st one, u need to get a garden hose and flush out anything thats in her mouth, she may not like it but thats what u gotta do! And just give her water for dehydration.

On this, considering the breed(s), I would call your vet just to be sure. For a while, I was taking care of a black lab cross for a family member, and he drooled thick, clear saliva-but usually only in extreme heat or right after drinking a bunch of water.

He/She may not be geting enough water. Perhaps she is playing too much and not drinking enouhg. I would contact your vet about this, it could be something serious or just nothing at all. A call to the your vet does not cost anything.

Yikes, I can't believe I'm the first one to say this!
Your dog may be suffering from bloat, also known as gastric torsion. Bloat can kill a dog if untreated, so take him to the vet ASAP.
You can read more about bloat here:

Sounds like your dog slobbers a lot. I have never heard of anything wrong with that.

Perhaps he/she has a facial problem. That sometimes happens with dogs. Or it could be that he/she isn't getting the right amount of water.

Give more details!
Dogs sweat (give off body heat) by their tongue.
If it is too thick...check his food for too much Sodium.
Some cheap dog foods have much Sodium.
