hi, if you are in the UK the ones lloyds pharmacy sell for £9.99 are very good. You would be better getting a proper one with arm cuff rather than the wrist ones, I have found these inaccurate. If you have problems with your bllod pressure it may be worth getting one, but only if you know what you are doing, what the reading actually means and what is abnormal in you.
A lot of people buy these machines and do not know what the results mean and this can lead to stress and .. high blood pressure !!!

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. Yes indeed. It helps to monitor blood pressure. It is really worth having one at Home. Very handy.

I have a blood pressure monitor and it is very good indeed it measures blood pressure and also shows your pulse rate. I bought it from boots it cost about £50. Before this one I had a cheaper version which was also very good but I prefer the one from boots.

They're usually pretty good and give a fair reading. Be careful that your arm is level with your heart when you use it. If you arm is lower than your heart it will give a considerably higher reading and if your arm is higher then your heart the reading will be considerably lower. But always get a professioanal to check the results. Test regualrly, keep a record and pay attention to the average. there are many things that affect BP and it does fluctuate normally thoughout out the day.

they sure are, most people having a check up at the docs, tend to worry and the pressure goes up ( know as white syndrome). you can log 60 readings on the wrist ones , which most docs think causes less stress

Yes,it's Boots,I've had it a year now and only used it twice,I suppose they are a useful thing to have and worth the money

yes we have an and one that we were given by the hospital you are better getting one that is a bit more expensive as they are better we bought a wrist one and that reads plus 40 higher than it is and that will cause you to worry get a good one and they are brilliant

Yes they are really good, just make sure you get one that it CE registered and make sure its an upper arm one not a wrist one, they are far more accurate

My mum has one as she is diabetic so its important for her to monitor it she finds it useful.
