Tonight I was trying to do my homework and for some reason flies just kept on coming in after I kept on killing them with the sunday newspaper. If you know why please tell me. Also my kitten would come along, play with them and eat the dead ones. She has also done this with the few cocaroaches she catches. Is this healthy or bad for her?

Find the nest, here is my story:

I kept a clean apartment but what started attracting roaches was when I moved my iguana out of a class cage into a wire cage about 6 feet tall. I began noticing roaches. The exterminator came out but I would not allow him to spray my pets room (seen no roaches there). The exterminator told me that he seen no roach nest but sprayed the apartment anyway. Later, I continued to see roaches and checked my pets room since that was the only room not sprayed. I found the roach nest in a small box next to my iguana's cage. They would leave the box and eat my iguana's droppings and return to the dark box. The nest was "ugly" with about 24 adult roaches, eggs and baby roaches.

3 months Later, I had roach problem again, checked my iguana's room and could not find roaches in there so I just sat and watched/waited. Seen a roach crawl from under my pets light stand. Took the stand into the bath tub and begin spraying it. Out came another 2 dozen of large roaches, babies and inside were eggs, again, leaving the light stand to enter the cage and eat the droppings and return to the base of the light stand.

I sprayed the room and now will invest in roach motels. Good luck.

P.S. If you have them, look for the nest !

Cats are natural predators, so they will go after most small things that move. Think of the old 'cat chasing the mouse' image.

I have a cat who does the same thing, but fortunately I manage to remove the bugs before she eats them (I don't think it'd hurt her, the thought just gives me the willies). But yes, she will chase after (and try to play with) roaches, spiders, mosquitoes, and lizards.

I don't think the bugs will hurt her. They're a source of protein and they're crunchy, which is a plus as far as cats are concerned. Try giving her a kitty treat when you think she's had enough bugs. She might just like the treats better -- just don't go overboard with the treats.

you may purchase Boric Acid powder on the drug shop and sprinkle around the sting of the room, the range and refrigerator. it extremely is the more suitable element that they use in the roach powder yet low-priced. whilst the roaches take it back to their nest it kills the extra youthful by destroying their digestive device. yet you do could be somewhat careful that the cats do no longer stroll in it. it is no longer super poisonous yet could be extremely risky. you ought to go away the domicile after placing roach bombs additionally. in basic terms freshen up before you come back back so no person gets unwell.

I knew a cat named Cricket. Very timid, didn't associate with other cats, but her owners didn't have to worry about crickets chirping in the middle of the night because it never lasted very long. She'd stalk them. When the garage was swept out, they'd find little piles of cricket legs.

Flies, moths, roaches and sometimes even spiders are like candy for cats. I don't think it is harmful. If they were poisonous they would probably taste bad for kitty and she wouldn't eat them.
