Although plaqued by arthritus, he is a very happy dog and like most Labs a bit of a glutton. He has been on PLTs for several years now and I am wondering whether this is part of the problem. I have tried him with Metacam and Rymadll, but neither seemed to ease is joint pain like PLTs. In passing the vet did mention Cushings some while ago. Could it be that? The swelling is right down to the top of his paw, but not on the actual paw. Other than the swelling, he is his normal self.

This is definite something you want to see the vet about, could possibly be bone cancer(osteosarcoma), if so, an extremely painful condition, amputation is the only way to relieve pain, and risk of the bone fracturing is extremely high

I hope it is not, but swelling is a sign
