I have forgiven him for all the times in the past that he has wronged me and i want to start speaking to him again but it feels very awkward and strange. Please help me out!

Pray about it first that the Lord opens up a door & gives you His Words of Wisdom to start speaking. Tell the Lord your hearts desires. Ask Him to pour His Love upon you & ur brother. He already knows what's in your heart...He just wants you to talk to Him about them as if your talking to your earthly father. He is "our Father in Heaven" He will definetely lead you and guide you. This is Gods Will for you to Love & forgive your brother. Trust in the Lord & He will direct your path.
God Bless you!

First of all remember that all are brothers when you accept the fatherhood of God. Whenever you interact with others, look at their hearts rather than the outer features and their behavior and speech. Secondly this body and relationships are temporary and changing. One changeless thing is the love we have for others irrespective of their reactions. Now if you are really serious about speaking with him, Go to him and accost him in an affectionate tongue without recalling whatever has happened in the past. Even if he doesn't reciprocate properly in the beginning, communicate with him lovingly and he will definitely understand you. Love has no enemy. nagarajan.

It would be helpful to know how old you both are. I read some of your other questions and you have made some life altering decisions. If your brother doesn't share your beliefs, don't try pushing them on him. Start with short conversations. Be polite. Let him know you love him. You can win soles to Christ by your actions as well as your words. When he sees how happy you are, he may well have questions that you'll be able to answer. God Bless You.

there is no doubt this is a difficult thing to do most especially because of the number of years it spans into. if you feel he is going to be offensive, then invite a somebody you both respect. begin by letting him know how unforgiving you were in the past and how much you have changed with Christ in your life. remember it is you who want peace to prevail not he so you should be willing to accept and do whatever it takes for peace to prevail without compromising on your faith though

With love in everything you say, Tell him you have changed and let him know you already forgave him and would like him to forgive you. Except him with love and give him a hug when you first see him. Let Gods love shine through you, actions speak louder than words.

I am having the same problem with my parents due to renouncing the catholic religion and becoming a born again Christian, except I don't live with them. Write your brother a letter and tell him everything you just said here in your question. I wrote my parents a letter, and now they know where they stand with me and I am waiting for a reply.

We have made our mistakes you and I, we have both been wronged. You are my brother and I am sorry things came between us. I want the past to stay in the past. I want to start our relationship from this day forward. What do you say?

Live in the same house, and not speak to each other in 3 yrs? Day--am!

Well, start out by saying something.
Something like 'how's it going?'

I take it he hasn't talked to you either.
