I found out that Herod was the one who initiated the rebuild of the second temple, but what problems did they/he face?

The Second Temple of Jerusalem was built after the destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians in 586 BC. It lasted from 515 BC to 70 AD, when the Roman troops destroyed it after the Great Jewish Revolt.

You can find that in Ezra and Nehemiah.
The Israelites were captured by the Assyrians and held as slaves. They convinced king Darius to let some of them go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. They were met with opposition from other tribes.
