I don't know why, but it's taking me a really long time to get over my ex-girlfriend, but I do find some comfort in music. I'm looking mainly for songs that are unique and not mainstream (i.e. NOT songs that everyone knows). I've run through all the lists that have to do with break-up songs and they're all the same: emo, top-40, cheesy R&B, I-hate-you-angry-songs, and, of course, "I Will Survive." I know all these songs, and they aren't the ones I'm looking for, so if anyone knows any of those rare songs that I should be listening to, I'd really appreciate it.

Music prolongs your agony (the kind of music you are looking for), and lets you wallow in self-pity. Get out, meet people, stop thinking you are the martyr.

If you want music....learn to play the piano and practice a lot, that will take your mind off the past if you concentrate.
