hi i have a video that i want open with media player but i get this message:
Windows Media Player cannot play the protected file because a security upgrade is required. Do you want to download the security upgrade?
i clicked yes but nothing happened and i still get same thing??what can i do to solve it?? by the way i have a media player 11

i canot use any other player.

Watch the video in quicktime or real player.

WMP has a anti download protection on it so it its a "not quite ligtament" song then it may be picknig up on that and refusing to play it. THe the person before me said use RP or Quicktime

It depends on what windows you have, media 10 and 11 is for windows XP or windows Vista, windows 2000, ME play only media 9, you may go to windows update and check for updates and proceed to download all of them, check you firewall or anti-virus, remove it from control panel, add or remove programs, restart PC and download it again.
