I have a laptop that I've been trying to get connected online. I don't have a cable/dsl modem or anything but, I need it to go online. Is this possible? If so, how?

OK, first, it should have a wireless card already installed.
You need to go into your network connections and setup a wireless connection.
Only thing is you have to have someone with a wireless router within a certain raidus to be able to use it.
Also, you should need to know the person you are feeding the internet from because if they're smart they will have it password protected.

If one of your neighbors has a wireless network, ask them if you could use the signal, maybe even offer to help them pay for the service. If you only need the internet for a little while, you could also go to a coffee shop or chain bookstore such as Starbuck's or Border's and they normally have Wi-Fi hotspots there.
