I'm a new transfer student and there is a senior prom coming soon (Early may) I've talked to this guy I fancy on quiet a few occasions already. Should I ask him a month prior to the prom? Or should I wait a little longer?

A month? That's a lot of time. When I went to prom I got about 2 weeks notice. I think most of my friends were also in the same time slot. You may ask him then change your mind.
Best bet, wait a little longer.

You could start by asking "about" the prom, since you are a new student. Then see if he mentions anything to you. If not, just ask him. Before someone else does!

i think askin earlier is better. a month wud be just nice.
and during the month, constantly talk and find out abt him.
