Never had one in my life(20 years old). Is this common, or am I just lucky?

The closest I ever came to having one turned into a normal dream at the very beginning when I gave Chucky(whom I was afraid of as a kid) a bag of chips then he went away.

I got a lot of possible reasons so let me add a little more info.

It isn't that my life is stress free, rather I'm the kind of person who doesn't worry about much of anything, even it it's really worth worrying over.

I've never really have a stable sleeping habit.

I don't like apple pie.

I enjoy horror movies and watch most good ones that come out.

I think Nightmare(s) is not compulsory for every human, but, Nightmare(s) depends from person to person. The activities he/she performs in the daily life, the kind of surroundings he/she lives in, the things he/she does before going to bed, to some extent with the person he/she sleeps with & the room he/she is sleeping in, is also one of the major factors.
If a person watches a horror movie or an incident & goes to bed, there is a chance of Nightmare, if a person’s room is full of horror / dangerous posters there are chances of Nightmare(s). If a person is working in an industry / factory where cutting/fire/etc kinds of incidents are likely to take place the man might get Nightmare(s).
In you case I think you are lucky enough that you never had a nightmare(s) & I hope you will never have it in your entire life.
Lastly nightmare(s) are of no meaning nor do they apply any practical things in real life. So before going to bed, calm have some walk in cool breeze, calm yourself, wash your face & then site for minute on the bed closing your eyes then go to sleep, I'm sure the night will be cool & your health too will be fit & fine.

You have a clear conscience. You must be a light minded person, like an angel. Good for you. Stay away from scientologists though, they're gonna want to do tests on you and stuff, and they might "find-out" you're the reincarnation of Ron Hubbard....you don't want that.
