If he/she is unconciuos (or looks totally asleep) this is no joke..this is an alcoholic coma(and /or if under fingernails is blue)...just take him to the nearest emergency room.
1-Never leave the intoxicated person alone. 2-Never give him /her drugs(even aspirin is prohibited). 3-Never give him coffee or tea or tobbaco.(you will just agitate him more).
Note: let him/her lie on his right side..and never let him/her stay on his back(bcs if he/she vomits while on his back he will safocate!).Give him/her some water to drink.
Note: Alcohol is a very toxic substance..that should not enter the human body at all.It toxicates the liver and alters it's metabolism greatly(which causes liver chirossis by time). It also harms all the digestive tract(from the mouth till the anus). It harms the kidneys too.It also affects male sexual function. Its important to note that alcohol has acumulative effect....that means if u keep drinking (even if in small amounts but for long time)..u will have these bad effects going on in your body!!If u r an alcohol drinker and dont have any serious disease..dont think that ur liver is healthy!! nor ur kidneys!! these organs are always weaker in function than in non drinkers!!So medical opinions are changing from advising to drink small amounts to totally prohibiting it!!
***Im a medical student(5th year).

How to sober up:
1. Avoid pills: do not take ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspiring just before, during or after drinking. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Ibuprofen can cause severe irritation. Aspirin thins the blood, which may exacerbate a hangover.
2. Drink lots of fluids: dehydration from alcohol can be treated with water, sweet juices, or sports drinks. Orange juice and tomato juice contain potassium, which will help overcome the shaky feeling of a major hangover
3. Take vitamins: a good multivitamin or vitamin B complex combats vitamin depletion.
4. Eat: starchy foods- bread, crackers, rice, or pasta - break down into sugar, which speeds absorption of alcohol into your system. A spoonful of honey (which is high in fructose) helps to quickly burn off any remaining alcohol in the stomach. Listen to your body's cravings: if eggs sound good, eat them. If something spicy sounds better, eat that. There are no right or wrong things to eat; just take your food slowly and in small amounts.
5. Rest or sleep for as long as possible. Coffee and cold showers are not really effective
6. Go out into the air: Oxygen is a major factor in reducing drunkenness.
If you want to avoid a hangover:
1. Eat before you drink and snack while drinking
2. If you do not eat, coat your stomach with a full glass of milk
3. Pace yourself and drink water between drinks.
4. Drink clear liquors. Some spirits are higher in congeners (impurities) than others; red wine, brandies (including cognac), and whiskies usually have more than other types of alcohol. Generally, the clearer your spirit, the few impurities, and the less severe the hangover
5. Champagne and mixed drinks made with carbonated sodas allow for faster alcohol absorption; they should be sipped slowly.
6. Do not mix your liquors. Each spirit has different toxins that must be processed by your liver. It's best not to overload it.
Before going to bed, have a snack of a banana or cheese and crackers.
7. Keep water beside your bed and drink it if you awaken during the night.
P.S.-Watch for signs of alcohol poisoning: tremors, unresponsiveness, unconsciousness, lack of breathing. If you suspect alcohol poisoning, have someone call 911.

water is the best thing for any intox. Bread will kill beer. If they're high then feed them anything and in about an hour they'll pass out. Anything else they most likely not want to eat.

Some laws were cratered to be broken and some were created for your own good. Alcohol used responsibly can be enjoyable. It can also ruin your life in a split second or slowly over time. Just be careful.

Nothing you can eat or drink will help you when you're intoxicated, no matter what your age.
The only solution is to sleep it off.

Oh god, you better watch him, people can really drink and they don't know when to stop so they end up with alcohol poisoning. You make sure to watch them all night, make sure they are breathing. Feed 'em some toast or just bread, and make sure they drink lots of water or they'll have a hangover.
