I met a guy a few months ago and hooked up with him immediately. Everything was PERFECT.....but he doesn't live anywhere near me (different state). We continued to see each other whenever his schedule permitted (once a month usually). Everything was going fine, but now I feel like he is losing interest. He has an extremely busy job and has beautiful girls throwing themselves at him constantly, although he is not the type to hook up with just anybody. His job is a 24hour job, so I know he is very busy, but he calls me once every two days and only talks for 20min. or so.....he always responds to my emails, but very short responses. He is out of town now, but he is coming to see me next week and I don't know what to do...I really like him but I don't want to waste my time with a guy that halfway likes me. How do I know? What should I do? How should I act when I see him next? I am so confused right now!

1. If it's challenging for him to do easy/simple things such as calling you on a lunch break or before he goes to bed, he's not that interested.
2. If ever you have to defend his actions to yourself he's not that interested.
...as for how you act, that's totally up to you. My gf is only really 3/4ths interested but I love her to bits nonetheless.

Well obviously the guy is busy at whatever and not making a whole lot of time for you.
If he is single and employed, sure his job could take up a lot of his time but not all of it.
He may be dating around and that is his right since you have only known him a few months and you haven't mutually committed to an exclusive long distance relationship.

He could also be married which is why he only sees you once a month and the emails and calls are very short. Who knows? Two possible ways of finding out is ask him for a home number if he has only given you a cell number and suggest visiting him in his hometown at his place, not a hotel.

Really I would just come out and talk to him.
Tell him you like him and just curious to know how he feels about you, if anything. Hopefully he will be honest with you but if he isn't...know that you are strong enough and will be ok no matter what the outcome. Best of luck.

Most long distance relationships fail. Out of sight out of mind. It's not that people won't think about each other, but the longer you're apart, the more distanced you're bound to become. In the rare instances that work, people grow closer even though they are separated by many miles. If yours appears to be getting more and more distanced, it's probably not a good sign.
My suggestion, when he does come to town, talk to him about how you're feeling. See how he views your relationship now. A lot of people will continue to try to keep a relationship going so that they either won't have to be single again, or they're afraid to hurt the other person's feelings. Until you ask him though, you really can't know for sure.
That's my two cents for ya.

You say that he calls you every 2 days and talks only 20 minutes or so. A lot can be said in 20 minutes and he may not be able to afford those long distance calls. He may also be the type who can not get a lot said in an e-mail so why not ask him how he is feeling about the long hours and ask him if he really loves you. He may be working those long hours in order to have money saved up to have a better future with you, so have a long talk with him and find out about your future with him. Good luck and God bless you.

It sounds like he is sending you mixed messages.

The best thing to do is to be honest with his. Next week when he comes to see you just ask him. However, be prepared what comes next. He may says that he likes you but just as a friend. Normally, a guy will not call someone if they do not have any feeling for the person.

His job may have something to do with it. So the best thing is just to sit down and talk to him. Maybe he is wondering also.

Good luck.

for a busy person who has alot of beautiful girls throwing themself at him to come all the way to see you proves that he is interested. as u said, he is not the type to hook up with any girls, and yet he hooked up with you. you muz have something that he likes.
however, in the long run, u will find urself having to have alot of faith in him for the relationship to go on.

all the best.

are you sure he has a 24 hour job? sometimes men just make up excuses. in this case i think hes not interested. cause from what im seeing, it seems like an impossible life to live for that guy.

p.s. and men should give time to their girlfriends. if a guy likes this person, he should always keep in touch.

It just seems like he doesnt have time for you or a gf in his life right now. So if you want a serious bf then I would walk away.
