What do i do? He's older than me!?

this guy i work with is odler than me.. by... lets say.. a lot. he really likes me, its obvious and its not like he trys to hide it. everyone knows. which hey, it dosent bother me in the least bit. ilike people to be open. and when most people find out that someone older likes them, they normally go straight to, oh he just wants me for sex. or messing around with... but him, he dosent. we can really relate.. to everything. i could talk to him forever.. and i dont know if i like him or not, i mean, i do. but its wrong for me to. he's older than me. and i know that wouldnt fly. EVER with my parents or my friends. and that matters to me. but age, other wise, dosent matter to me. a person is a person. but my parents opinion really matters if you know what i mean. and i dont know what to do. i dont trust my feelings (past experiences) or thoughts. so when i think i like him, im not sure, but i think i do. and i dont kwn what to do. any help?

The most important things in every relationship is mutual love and understanding. Although we tend to see thinngs differentl as our age increases and our priorities chaange,age should not be a limitation to love. With love and understanding you can work pass every challenging period. Talk to your parents and make them know how muich you love him. Follow your heart but don't ignore your instincts.Good luck!

The reason that age is considered a matter by most is based on experience. However, experience leads to complacency which can get you killed and that's possibly why parents and older generations make stupid, vital mistakes. Also experience doesn't equal qualification on a subject, like dating.

Take advantage of your indecisiveness. If you are confused then you probably don't really want to mess around with this guy. Trust your instinct, be curious, talk to him but nothing more for now. If he is true about his intentions, then he will continue to pursue you. If not, he will chase some other tail.

Take your time with it. (How old are you? I dont see any problem with it if you're an adult legally. Parents who dont like their underage daughter date someone older usually call the police.) Anyway.. see what comes of it and if you're happy and mature, you shouldnt have too much of a problem. Parents are meant to be protective, believe me, if you didnt have them around, you would really miss it. Give them respect about it, let them know you are being careful and not rushing it. Your friends will be there for you as long as you're safe and happy.

I don't think you realize it but you have already answered you own question. You don't true your own feeling but the age is the problem. You have already stated that is would not fly with your family or friends.

You need to be honest with him. You need to sit him down and say something like " I know you are a really nice guy but I don't think anything can ever come from it."

you've got to give your thoughts another try. do whatyour feelings are saying. it's ok to be hurt. it actually makes you who you are and it keeps you more ready to face a certain situation. by the way, what really is the gap between you and him? just like me and my boyfriend, we actually have 5 years gap. and we're doing well. it really depends on how you handle the situation. you have to decide for yourself and go to what really makes you happy. you should not have guilt within you if you want to live happy.
