What program would u recommend for editing videos? I need one that can cut the video, edit the sound like deleting small portions and converting the video from mp4 to avi.
Thanks for your help.

well I'm a big Pc mag fan and my friends also have the subscription and there are some good reviews by
• Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 Suite
• Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0
• Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus
• Adobe Production Studio
check it out on the website... I dont think you could go wrong with any of those... my friend used it to edit his own wedding vid... but thats easy

Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas or Ulead. If you wanna be cheap, use Windows Movie Maker :)

You can use Virtual Dub.
You can also try Adobe Priemiere Pro 2.0 or elements 3.0

These are used by professionals and are pretty easy to use.

Depends on how advanced you want to get, and your Operating System. I have a windows xp install, and i use movie maker 2, its good. i sometimes use some freeware tools to create effects and stuff.

If you want to go serious, go Sony Vegas or something like that.

The one that's most popular I've heard about with those features is Cubase. But I don't know if it has format conversion capabilities.
